About the Journal

Aim

Journal of Visual Artificial Intelligence an open access, quarterly, peer-reviewed journal devoted to the publication of high-quality research in the fields of computer vision, machine perception, and artificial intelligence. The journal spans the whole field of visual AI, including basic vision algorithms and intelligent visual systems, to advanced applications of AI in robotics, autonomous systems, medical imaging, digital media, and multimodal AI.

It aims to showcase the recent advancements that make machines perceive and comprehend the visual world, such as neural architecture developments, visual reasoning, generative models, and multimodal learning systems. The journal seeks to deliver theoretical creativity for practical implementation and present visual artificial intelligence, leading to advancements in science, engineering, medicine, security, sustainability, and human-AI interaction.

The journal has a mission of advancing rigorous, ethically sound, and socially relevant research that pushes the limits of automated perception. It promotes contributions that demonstrate how visual AI technologies can be used to tackle the complex problems of the world- support innovation in areas such as environmental monitoring, smart cities, intelligent vehicles, multimedia systems, and immersive reality.
